Google Earth 6.2 is recently released....In fact a month ago but i wasn't knowing ...:P

Anyways .. here I'm going to type down few commands to install it in Debian based systems....

This command is to avoid avoid ugly font problem. You will come to know this problem soon. :)
sudo apt-get install ttf-mscorefonts-installer lsb-core

Now to download Google earth deb packages, fire following command:

For 32 bit system:

wget http://dl.google.com/dl/earth/client/current/google-earth-stable_current_i386.deb

For 64 bit system:
wget http://dl.google.com/dl/earth/client/current/google-earth-stable_current_amd64.deb

Now to install this deb package fire following command:
sudo dpkg -i google-earth-stable_current_i386.deb

( Alternatively you can also download packages from here. And manually install them.)

Now you are ready to face  ugly font problem. :)  Now you will be able to find Google earth in your application list. Open it and you'll probably find ugly font problem.  Don't be panic. Just restart you system and it the problem will be solved thanks to first command we fired...:D
